Cancel an order
Orders can be canceled within one hour of placing them by contacting support; after that, use a return.
There is no cancel button on an order. A cancellation has to be handled by us, and quickly.
Within one hour of placing the order
- Find the order number. It is on the Your order is in. page right after checkout, in the confirmation email, and on the order card under Orders in your account (for example Order #1234).
- Email support@bookface.com right away with the order number and the words "cancel" in the subject, or call 650-739-5646. Include which books, if you only want part of the order canceled.
- We confirm by email once the order is canceled.
Orders can be canceled within one hour of placement. After that, the seller may already have packed and shipped the book.
After one hour, or once a book has shipped
Open the order in your account. If a copy shows Shipped, cancellation is no longer possible; use a return instead. Every purchase is covered by our 30-day return policy, and Start a return is on the order page as soon as a copy has shipped. See Return a purchase.
If nothing has shipped yet, still email us; we will do what we can.
Rentals
The same applies to rentals: contact us within the hour to cancel. Once a rental has shipped, you can send it back with the prepaid return label from your rentals page. See Return a rental.
Buyback orders
A buyback order (books you are selling to us) is not charged to you, so there is nothing to refund. If you decide not to send the books, email us with the BB Order# and we will close it. See Ship your books.
