Ship your books

Buyback checkout takes your address and how you want to be paid. There is no charge; shipping is on us.

Check out

1. On Sell your books, click Checkout under your buyback cart. The page is headed Buyback checkout.
2. Under Your details, fill in Full name, Street address, Apartment, suite (optional), City, State, ZIP code, Phone (10 digits) and Email. The address goes on the shipping label and the email receives your confirmation and tracking link, so make sure both are right.
3. Under How should we pay you?, choose PayPal, Zelle, Venmo, Cash App or Apple Pay, then enter the account for it in the field below (for example PayPal email, Venmo handle or Cash App $Cashtag). Payments are electronic and are sent once your books are inspected.
4. Check the list under Your books on the right. The total is what we are quoting today; the final payout depends on what we receive at inspection.
5. Click Place buyback order.

If a book's price has dropped out since you added it, the page lists the affected books and offers Remove these items and try again.

Your confirmation

The next page shows your order number as BB Order# and the total we are buying. Keep the number; it is how you look the order up later. A confirmation email with a tracking link goes to the address you entered.

Under Ship your books you will find the Mail by date (3 business days from placing the order) and:

1. Click Print your shipping label. The tracking number is shown under it.
2. Pack all of your books together in one sturdy box.
3. Tape the label to the outside of the box.
4. Drop it off at any US Post Office, or leave it for your carrier.

If the label could not be created, click Generate shipping label to try again; your order is saved either way.

Mail by the date

Mail the box by the Mail by date on your confirmation. Click Track this order on the confirmation page, or use the link in your email, to see the label and the mail-by date again at any time. See Check buyback status.

Packing tips

• Send only the books on the order. Books that were not quoted are not paid for.
• Pack tightly so the books do not shift; damage in transit can lower what we pay.
• One box per order: the label covers everything on that order.
