Where to find our policies
One link to each Bookface policy page, with a sentence on what it covers.
Every policy that applies to using Bookface is published on its own page. This article is a map; the pages themselves are the wording that governs.
For buyers and renters
- Return policy — the 30-day window for returning a purchase, the condition books must come back in, how to start a return, and when a refund is processed. See also Return a purchase.
- Book rental policies — the rental agreement: due dates and shipping, care of the book, late fees, lost or damaged books, how to return a rental, and what happens when a rental is not returned. See also How rentals work.
For everyone
- Terms of service — the user agreement you accept by using the site, covering accounts, orders, payments and the legal terms between you and Bookface.
- Privacy policy — what information we collect, how it is used, and the choices you have about it.
For sellers
- Seller terms — the terms for selling on Bookface, including fees, payouts and what is expected of a seller. See also Become a seller.
For course materials
- Honor code — what you may share on the course materials exchange, how page views work, and how reports are handled. See also Upload materials.
- Copyright policy — how to ask us to remove material that infringes a copyright you own or represent, the instructor fast path, and how counter-notices work. The quickest route is the report form, which needs no account.
Where else they appear
The footer of every storefront page links to the terms of service, privacy policy, return policy, seller terms, rental policies, honor code and copyright policy, so you are never more than one click from them. The card form at checkout links to the rental policies whenever a rental is in your cart.
Questions about a policy
Email support@bookface.com. If a help article and a policy page ever disagree, the policy page is the one that applies.
