Rhapsody for Alto Saxophone and Piano

(De Haske Solo Work). Rhapsody is not a programmatic work, but one that spontaneously turns into a natural musical journey. Andre Waignein showcases and explores both the technical prowess and the expressive nature of the saxophone. The three movements take the soloist from a virtuosic arabesque to a lyrical and expressive theme before jumping back into a lively tarantella. Rhapsody for alto saxophone concludes with one final majestic, breathtaking flourish.Grade of difficulty for the soloist: 6
