About this book
Seashells, starfish and coral spill out of Nahas’ tessellated, dynamic paintings, striking a balance between natural patterns and abstraction
Published with National Pavilion of Lebanon.
The catalog of the Lebanese Pavilion at the 2026 Venice Biennale spotlights the paintings of Nabil Nahas (born 1949), who layers coral and starfish into blooming, iridescent canvases that appear to be pulled from the surface of the ocean floor.
