About this book
Uncanny and profoundly unsettling, contemporary artworks with autonomous functions become less of an object and more of a subject
This book considers certain contemporary artworks as "behavioral objects"―artworks with the capacity to act and react that exhibit autonomous behavior, thus expressing a personality of their own. It includes examples by contemporary artists such as Jeppe Hein, Rafael Lozano-Hemmer and Philippe Parreno.
